Rotary Quiz Team Away in Europe
The quiz team from The Rotary Club of Southport Links
The Southport Links Quiz Team had an away tie for the quiz semi final, playing The Rotary Club of Rhyl on Tuesday May 26th.
The match was held at the Faenol Fawr Hotel at Bodelwyddan, LL18 5UN, which is just off the A55
The team manager decided on an aggressive attacking formation with the four key players of Farley, Thomas, Sumner and Philpott leading the attack utilising the straight four formation which has been so ,succesful for several years. After a hard fought quiz, with Links starting with a 12 point handicap, the team eventually pulled through to win 85 points to Rhyl's 68.
The two teams are photographed along with the volunteer officials.
We have a home match for the final which, hopefully will be played before the end of the Rotary year.
