The Rotary Club of Southport Links again teamed up with the Southport Photographic Society to promote a photographic competition for Young Photographers. There were two classes so that older children do not have an unfair advantage; the Junior Section was for 11 year olds and under on 22nd January 2014, which was also the closing date for entries. The competition was also open to friends and family up to the age of 16.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday 8th March 2014 at 11am in Christ Church on Lord Street. The Worshipful, the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor Maureen Fearn presented the prizes. The standard of entry was very high this year and all entrants are to be congratulated for submitting such a superb collection of photographs.
An exhibition of entries will take place from March 8th in Wayfarers Arcade, Lord Street Southport ending on Sunday March 23rd.
