Mary's Meals.
Is a global movement that sets up school feeding projects in some of the worlds poorest communities where hunger and povetry prevent children from gaining an education.
The project began in 2002 by feeding 200 children in Malawi. Now over 920,000 children are going to school and receiving a meal. Those children are now able to have an education that can in the future be their ladder out of poverty.
The meal was provided by the Belstead Brook Hotel at no charge. Rotarians paid the full price for the meal, enabling all the money to go to Mary's Meal's.
