From Local Harmonies to Global Healing: Your Impact

The Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge held a Race Night in February which raise an amazing £1900 and will be having a Night at the Opera, in Chew Magna, on the 25th of April at St Andrew’s church. Both events will benefit two charities, one local and the other in India.

Global Outreach: Mogri, India

Proceeds are being donated to the Andh Apangjan Vikas Mandal (Blind and Disabled Development Association) in Gujarat. This charitable trust is a lifeline for children with visual, physical, and hearing impairments.

In rural India, disability often leads to isolation. The Mandal changes this through:

  • Specialized Education: Using Braille and sign language.
  • Residential Care: A safe home for students from remote areas.
  • Vocational Training: Skills like computer literacy and weaving to foster self-reliance.

Local Care: Dorothy House

We are also proud to support Dorothy House Hospice Care. While we reach across the globe to India, we remain committed to our neighbours. Dorothy House provides essential palliative care and support to local families facing life-limiting illnesses, ensuring dignity and comfort when it matters most.
