Primary School Teams from Cameley, Chew Magna and Bishop Sutton took part in the Chelwood Bridge Rotary Club’s Annual Football Competition held at Chew Valley School on 5th April.
Boys and Girls from Years 5 and 6 played matches and Bishop Sutton Primary were the overall winners. They finished the exciting final match against Cameley Primary with a ‘Golden Goal’ in added time. All the matches were played in an excellent spirit and all of the schools are to be congratulated on the enthusiasm and commitment of their players!
Thanks are also due to Jo Hibbert, Head of PE at Chew Valley School, for arranging the use of the all-weather pitches at the school and for organising the Sixth Form Students who expertly officiated all of the games.
The picture shows the teams with the Winners Trophy and their medals at the end of the afternoon.
