Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As our year as Joint Presidents of Chelwood Bridge Rotary comes to an end, Duncan and I would like to express our sincere thanks to every one of you for your support, friendship, and commitment throughout 2025/26.
It has been both an honour and a privilege to serve as your Joint Presidents. Over the past year, we have once again seen what makes our club so special — our shared commitment to service, strong fellowship, generosity, and the desire to make a real difference both locally and internationally.
Together, we have supported important community initiatives, fundraising events, and charitable projects that truly reflect the spirit of Rotary. Every member has contributed in their own way, whether through giving time, energy, ideas, or practical support, and for that we are deeply grateful.
We are also delighted that during our presidential year the club achieved two important milestones with the introduction of Corporate Membership and the welcoming of a new member Dee Deacon into our Rotary family. These are significant achievements for the future of our club, bringing fresh energy, wider community connections, and helping to strengthen Chelwood Bridge Rotary for years to come.
We would especially like to thank the club officers, committee chairs, and all members who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes. So much of what this club achieves depends on dedication, teamwork, and goodwill, and your efforts are greatly appreciated.
On a personal note, serving together as Joint Presidents has been a truly rewarding experience for both of us. We have enjoyed the fellowship, the laughter, the challenges, and the many memorable moments shared throughout the year.
As we now hand over the chain of office, we are delighted to welcome our incoming President, Mr Douglas Nash. Douglas, thank you for once again stepping forward to lead our club. On a personal note, I would like to offer special thanks, as Douglas was President when I first joined Rotary and played an important part in welcoming me into this wonderful organisation. It is especially meaningful to see him take on this role once again, demonstrating his continued commitment and dedication to the club.
Douglas, we offer you our full support and every good wish for the year ahead. We are confident the club will continue to thrive under your leadership, with fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and continued success.
Rotary’s strength has always been its people, and Chelwood Bridge Rotary continues to embody that spirit in abundance.
Thank you once again for allowing us to serve.
Yours in Rotary,
Umang & Duncan
