We are collecting used tools for Workaid
Our Club is supporting Workaid by having a collection ppoint for used tools in Tesco Car Park Lewes on Saturday 5th October 2019 from 9.30am to 12.30pm. We are collecting the following items only:
Horticultural:
Spades, shovels, forks, shears
Handtrowels and Forks
Long handled hoes
Electric Garden Tools in working Order
Watering cans and hose pipes
DIY Tools
Plumbing tools
Motor Mechanic Tools
Electricians tools
Cobler and upholstery tools
Blacksmith tools
Green woodworking tools
Wool and Haberdashery manual typewriters iron mongery
Items collected are sent to WORKAID who refurbish them in their UK Hib with the assistance of people with learning disabilities who in turn gain valuable post college work experience. The tools are then sent abroad to some African Countries for community use including setting up small businesses
