2026 Sawston Fun Run

40 Years on and still going strong

This year's 40th anniversary Fun Run took place from Spicers Sports Ground, as SVC building work now prevents space for it to be used.

The venue went well and a record number of our maximum allowed 2000 started off to run or walk either of our long and short routes.

There were also a record number of stallholders this year, proving how valuable it is in our Community.

There was a brief coverage on TV, which sadly did not give one mention to Rotary.

The Sawston Fun Run & Walk is the largest community event of its type in the area and has a long and proud history of bringing the community together to raise money for local good causes. Since 1986 the event has raised over £575,000.

SUPPORTING LOCAL GOOD CAUSES

The Sawston Fun Run & Walk is more than a race; it is a fantastic opportunity for families and communities to come together to enjoy some healthy exercise while raising much needed funds for local charities and good causes.

In 2026 the main beneficiary of the Fun Run will be the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity where we hope to be able to help them purchase a special “cuddle” bed which will allow families to be together at the most difficult of times. It is also our intention to support 19 local good causes who provide vital services & support within our local communities.
