Fun Run Presentation Evening

Held at Sawston Village College


PRESENTATION EVENING

The evening was well attended with in excess of 120 people. It was so good to see not only Beneficiaries but Sponsors and Advertisers too. The Latter two are really important as they can see what their contributions have done.

A welcome reception was held in Fountain Court, before cheque presentations in the Henry Morris Hall.

The Beneficiaries were:

Whittlesford Over 80’s Pilates Group- equipment- £280

Active with Parkinsons Cambs-Activity Equipment- £500

Camms Meals on Wheels- website update-£500

DX Club (Duxford After School Club)- Sports equipment- £500

Sawston Air Cadets- Replace Manakons-£500

Anglian Leisure- Swimming Pool Cleaner-£750

Icknield Primary School-New Climbing frame-£1585.55 of which £585.55 is sponsorship.

Cambridge Cancer Help Centre-operational costs- £2500

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity- Personal donation from Dixon’s International Company

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity-22 new TV’s- £5250

Grand total of £13,365.55

After an interval, we were entertained by Richard Hovsepyan on the piano.

Then the Cambridge Swing Dancers- talk about fit!
