A Business Meeting to distribute Rotary Golf Day funds to four local Charities.
Another successful evening for Pantiles Rotary Club was held on 27 November 2022, as we
enjoyed a delicious meal at our adopted home, One Warwick Park Hotel, before getting
down to the business of distributing funds raised at the Charity Golf Day in August. In
addition, we also welcomed our friends Jochen Baumgartner and Martin Dries from the
Wiesbaden Rotary Club with which we are twinned and the Assistant District Governor for
Area 1120, Chris Brenchley.
Cheques were given for several thousand pounds to Tunbridge Wells based charities
Nourish, Brains Matter, The Hospice of the Weald, and Pickering Cancer Drop in Centre. This
has been in addition to funds distributed earlier in the year to Aspens, contributing to
putting gym equipment in Dunorlan Park and internationally to support the Ukraine and
Pakistan issues. Short presentations were given by all guest attendees from the charities
stating their successes and ambitions for the next year.
