What a great night we had at our annual club bowls evening which was hosted by Newark Town Bowls Club. Our thanks to Club Captain Tony Murphy and Joyce Morley, who provided a really good bowls skittles competition for us, thanks also goes to Brenda and her team of helpers in providing a superb buffet.
Dave Strange like his team Arsenal was always in the running and Mac Mallard like his team Lincoln City fought hard but also had the luck throughout the night to make the final, both agreed to be equal winners.
Other rewards that were given during the evening were:
Susan Parker who showed great determination to win a bottle.
Jayne Mason who had the most near misses and at one stage gentle hit the skittle with a great shot, only for the skittle to stay upright.
Andy Fereday for being the most elegant and stylish bowler.
Finally our own Graham Macfarlane who celebrates his 39 x 2 birthday.
The night ended with our Barman Rob Ritson entertaining us with a music quiz which was won in a play off by Pat Mallard Jayne Mason and Lori Fereday,
Again our thanks to the bowls club members who made our evening so enjoyable.
