End Polio Now Update: November 2024
Hello,
This is my final bulletin for 2024. Here are the latest stats received on Polio. These data arrived yesterday and show a deterioration in numbers.
The polio endgame and its challenges: click here to read an interview with Dr Hamid Jafari, Director for Polio Eradication in WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean, where he offers a comprehensive overview of the current global epidemiology, challenges and what must happen to overcome remaining obstacles and achieve a lasting polio-free world. I enclose a copy of the article but it is easier to read it online
Club Visits
I am happy to come to your club and provide an update and insight into the ending of Polio. If you wish me to do this, please contact me (as below) suggesting suitable dates.
Thank you for the support you have given so far this Rotary year.
As it may be difficult to find I also enclose a copy of the foundation remittance form which can be downloaded by clicking HERE – remember to tick the POLIO box.
Regards to all
Malcolm Tagg
As always, these notes are my interpretation of the data I’m provided with – I apologise for any potential inaccuracies!
