Another successful repair day.
Hungerford Repair Cafe 17th January 2026
Our talented Team of volunteer repairers processed 63 items on the day with a good success rate, keeping items out of landfill and restoring loved item to their owners.
Unfortunately not all items can be repaired as they have reached end of life, but many owners went away with recommendations of what to order to either fix themselves or to return to the next Repair Cafe where help is always on hand.
Visitors enjoyed refreshments from the Cafe including hot drinks, biscuits and homemade cakes whilst waiting for a repairer to become available. Inevitable conversations were struck up amongst the visitors, some saying they come for the company and a cuppa.
Our "Star" repair was a much-loved Christmas Star which no longer shone brightly, but Jeremy was able to repair it with the owner commenting "So happy, it brought tears. Very precious item (to me)"
Hungerford Repair Cafe will open its doors again on Saturday 21st March 2026 at 10am to 12.30pm in the Croft Hall. Come along if you have an item which needs fixing or an item of clothing which needs a seamstress to repair.
