The Annual Plant Sale

 

Thank you to all our members, friends, relatives and acquaintances who helped to make this year's Rotary Charity Plant Sale such a success.
A huge thanks to Shalbourne growers and all who gave plants for us to sell. We were overwhelmed by your generosity.

A very special thanks to Hugh and Lois. Not only did they sort, grade and price all the donations but they spent the morning helping all the buyers with their choices. Thank you both. Your help was invaluable.

Many thanks to white van man extraordinaire, Gerry, who moved tables, chairs and plants backwards and forwards all morning. Mind, he couldn’t have done it without his helpers, Robert, Nick G-S, Tony, David W and Ron. Thanks to them as well.

Special thanks must go to the tea room girls, Tricia, Pauline and Joy who sold coffee and cakes galore and contributed so much to the day. Their success was also due to the fabulous cakes on offer made by Tricia, Pauline, Nick W, Joy, Angela and Linden-my next door neighbour (Amazing fruitcake!)

Thanks to David S for breaking the Croft Hall code. I was beginning to wonder if we would ever get into the Kitchen!

Last but not least, our check-out boy and girl Tony and Angela. Cheerfully and efficiently serving our customers and adding so much to our charity account.

    Yes, Nine Hundred and two pounds. Wow! I was not expecting that. Thank you all.
