Hungerford Rotary Club have generously donated £1000 to local charity Action
Through Enterprise. Sarah Gardner, Chief Executive, who lives in
Hungerford said, “We are so grateful for this significant contribution
to our work in rural Ghana. Children at our schools are finding it
harder and harder to commit to education in a world of increasingly high
inflation, persistent hunger and lack of opportunity. These funds will
be used to ensure children can complete basic education enabling them to
become role models in their community.
Action
Through Enterprise is 10 years old this year and in their first decade
have supported 2500 children through school with the wonderful support
of people in and around Hungerford. By donating to a small locally led
charity a real difference can be made to the lives of children, who
through luck of birth, do not have the tools that they need to thrive at
school.
Rotary International's aim is to help both international and local charities and the Hungerford Club were delighted that they were able support this local charity for it's work in Ghana.
