Hungerford Rotary Club recently had it's first dinner meeting for 18 months. It was also a change of venue for the regular club meetings. After an absence of 10 years they have returned to The Bear Hotel in Hungerford where they had an excellent meal and caught up with friends that they hadn't seen for ages.
The evening also saw the induction, by President Bruce of two new members, Barry Waddell of Hungerford and Tony Ricketts of Kintbury. Both have joined because they wished to become active in their community by helping with various Rotary projects and also to enjoy the company of like minded men and women at various events and regular meetings.
The club has a number of projects planned including an "Elvis Evening" in October and a Bridge tournament in November both at the Croft Hall. Club members will also have a chance to join other members with visits to interesting locations in the area including a day at the "Hawk Conservatory". If you are interested in joining Rotary or helping with their various projects please contact them through the website - www.hungerfordrotary.org.uk
