Hungerford Rotarians donate to Shelterbox

Frustrated by the pandemic, members of Hungerford Rotary Club, aware of other disasters in the world, dug deep in their own pockets and donated sufficient money to purchase at least one Shelterbox which contains family-sized tents specially designed to withstand the elements and provide people with temporary shelter until they are able to start the process of rebuilding. These tents, along with equipment to help sustain everyday living, are sent to various places around the globe where natural disasters are occurring.

 

Hungerford Rotary club normally seeks funding from various sources including street collecting and staging special events. In these difficult times this has clearly not been possible, hence this gesture to help those suffering natural disasters in various locations throughout the world.
