Donation to Resource Centre

Hungerford Rotary Club Pesident, Norman Sinclair-Bains, presented a cheque for £250 to help fund an interactive computer/projector for the Hungerford Resource Centre. The unit, which was recently installed, is a ceiling mounted projector which is able to project specially designed games and puzzles onto a table where people can interact with the images. The games are especially designed to be therapeutic for many conditions including Autism and learning difficulties as well as physical disabilities including Parkinson's disease. By tapping the images on the table, or moving them around by hand the player is able to perform a number of tasks far more easily than they could with a keyboard or tablet. The centre manager Diana Invanvo, pictured right and administrator Angie Futers on the left told Norman, also pictured, that the projector had been a great hit with visitors to the centre and they will be adding to the software to keep up the enthusiasm.
