Ron, Roy, their partners and members of their committee put on a splendid evening of Jazz at the Royal British Legion. The 4 piece band proved to be a great hit with their interpretation of some great New Orleans classics. The base player and vocalist was a star who everyone assumed, because of her excellent rendition of "Midnight in Moscow" in Russian, was a descendant of the Romanoffs. It turned out she was a Geordie girl!
A memorable evening with some great food prepared by the team, great music from the band, a very successful raffle with lots of prizes donated by members and good company from our friends. On top of that the evening raised over £700.00. RESULT!!
Thanks to Betté and Roy's daughter Katie for the photos.
