The Christmas Party

The Candle lit Christmas Party at
Hungerford Town Hall.

No camera in the world could have captured the amazing atmosphere that our President’s lady, Jane, managed to create in Hungerford Town Hall for the annual Christmas party. The room looked stunning, as it was totally lit by candles and there were gasps of amazement as the guests arrived. With a glass of bubbly in their hands it didn’t take long for everybody to get into the party spirit. The caterers did us proud with an excellent main course of beef Wellington followed by poached pear and cheese. An accordion band provided the entertainment and even with limited space one or two managed to dance. One of the photos manages to capture a romantic moment between our Mayor, Martin, and his Rotarian wife, Virginia. Also pictured are David and Frances arriving, Mike and Ellie sharing a dance and a joke and Ron and Lois enjoying themselves as they always do. A fantastic evening thanks to Bruce for the original “candle light” idea. Jane for executing the plan to perfection and Annabel for stage managing the event.  An evening never to be forgotten.
