This year our President Adrian Scrafton wanted to do something to help those who are homeless or struggling financially. We are pleased to be working in collaberation with The Link Charitable Trust to have been providing warm clothing during the winter months.
The clothing has been donated by our own Rotarians and friends together with members of Redcar Squash and Racketball Club and Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary Club clothing appeal held before Christmas.
The Kindness Wall is hosted by The Link in their Living Room at The Palace Hub on Redcar Esplanade. It is a warm space where those needing help can get warm, have a hot drink and some food as well as find a warm coat, hat or scarf that they are welcome to keep.
Although this is our first year it has been a huge success and we hope to be able to repeat it again next winter.
A huge thank you to the staff and helpers at The Link without who we wouldn't have been able to make this happen.
