The Covid pandemic has been playing havoc with everyones lives, not least children who are our future and have had their education constantly disrupted during this pandemic. This latest lockdown means even more home schooling.
Many of us take the internet and access to it for granted however not everyone is as privilaged. The aim of this appeal is to give children from low income families in Redcar & Cleveland access to online learning activities during the Covid pandemic and beyond by providing them with a tablet for home use.
Venturing into crowdfunding for the first time we successfully raised £475.00 with a little extra help from our Rotary District fund. We added to this from our own Charity Account to donate 3 laptops to Zetland Primary School in Redcar. We hope these will help 3 families with their home schooling both now and in the future.
