The Rotary Club of Senlac St Leonards annual quiz raised over £500 for local and international charities and good causes. Some 60 people came along and pitted their wits at the Little Common Community Centre on Friday, 27th March where they enjoyed not only an entertaining and fun quiz but also a superb ploughman’s in the interview.
The winners were "Poorer Expectations", pictured above, who won for the second year running and said they would return next year to try for the hat trick.
Ray Dixon, from the clubs “Foundation” committee, said he was very pleased with the evening and the financial outcome, “It was, as usual, a very good evening and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.” The Rotary Foundation (TRF) is the Rotary charity and our local and overseas community have benefited greatly from TRF Grants including Sidley Cricket Club and the Bexhill Youth and Community centre initiated by the Rotary Club of Senlac St Leonards.
With the money from entrants and the raffle the club raised a healthy sum which will be shared between Bexhill Youth and Community Centre and the club’s Yellowmen Project working with the very poor communities in north-west Kenya. Ray added “I’d like to thank all those from the club who organised the evening and all the people who supported us on the night.”
