The Rotary Club of Senlac is sad to announce the death of long-term member Glyn Parry

The Rotary Club of Senlac is sad to announce the death of long-term member Glyn Parry.

Glyn retired from the RAF in 1989 after 33 service and he, with his wife, Margaret, moved to Hertfordshire where he had found employment in Stevenage. Wanting to do things for the local community he joined the Rotary Club of Amwell based in Hertford. There he served on a number of committees and, through the International committee, was involved in two projects to bring water to slum villages around the India town of Belgaum. For his work he was awarded the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship.

Glyn and his wife returned to their home county of Sussex in 2012 and Glyn transferred to the Rotary Club of Senlac where he is served as President in 2016-2017.

Glyn was a Rotarian for 35 years, receiving a Long Service certificate in 2015.

Glyn was a dedicated member, providing support at all events and serving on multiple committees. His work on the Senlac Classic Car Show programme was invaluable.

We will miss his warmth, friendship, wisdom and sense of humour.

Our condolences go out to Glyn’s wife, daughters and friends.
