A dry but cool evening set the scene for the Club’s annual bowls evening at the Ninfield Bowls Club on Wednesday, 5th June. Twelve Rotarians took part on the green playing three a side on two rinks and, despite the typical country greens vagaries, displayed a fair amount of skill in getting their woods near to the jack. A few hardy spectators turned up to watch the finer skills of the participants but probably welcomed more the apres-bowls get together at the Black Horse, Telham where other Rotarians had gathered for a meal and chatter.
A good and enjoyable evening and the club thanks Ninfield Bowls Club for their help and hospitality and Pat Connor and his lieutenant-of-the-night, Geoff Gander, for arranging the pub venue and meal.
