The annual President’s Dinner took place on Saturday 28thApril 2018 at the Cooden Beach Hotel. With more than seventy guests the club’s only black tie event of the year was hosted by President Linda Fearn whose distinguished Rotary guests included Rev Paul Frostick of Bexhill, Fran Craig, President of St Leonards and David Daniels CBE, President of Battle. After pre-dinner drinks and the opportunity to mingle and chat a three course dinner was enjoyed by all. Speeches followed dinner; the Rev Paul Frostick of Bexhill Rotary produced a humorous toast to the Rotary Club of Senlac to which President Linda replied. Senlac President Elect, Dave Miles toasted the Ladies and Guests with Senlac Honorary member Barbara Thomas responding saying how proud she was to be associated with a club that was so much fun to be part of.
With the formal part of the evening over guests were able to relax and socialise with many dancing to the band “No Exit”.
As ever the evening did not organise itself and thanks for a really well organised and enjoyable evening go to Dining Steward Geoff Gander, flower arranger Lyn Poll and tombola organisers Eddie and Liz MCCall with help from Roger and Karen Young.
