Charity Dinner Benefits 1066 Specials

Senlac Rotary Club held a hugely successful Charity Fund Raising evening in aid of the 1066 Specials at the Shiplu Indian Restaurant in Bexhill on the 18th of October.

One hundred people enjoyed the superb food, atmosphere and hospitality provided by Mr Azad and his staff. The event raised much needed funds, in excess of £600, helping the club to provide facilities for present and future generations. Rotarian Stuart Earl who organised the event on behalf of the Rotary Club of Senlac said, “I am immensely pleased to have arranged this event to raise funds in aid of a fabulous local charity, “The 1066 Specials,” a very special Football Club for young people with learning and physical challenges.”

The 1066 Specials Football Club gives people with special needs and disabilities the opportunity to play football and receive expert coaching. The club provides opportunities to play the sport in a fun and friendly environment. For more information, please see the web-site www.1066specials.org.uk
