Senlac Rotary Vice-President presents Glyne Gap Faculty

The Rotary Club of Senlac has presented a cheque for £1000 to the Glyne Gap Faculty in Bexhill as a donation to their school funds. Melanie-Jane Jukes of the Faculty said the money would be of great help in this year’s project of a PGL holiday for pupils at the Faculty. The money was raised at the club’s annual Jazz Picnic held in Rotarian Pat Connor’s garden in the summer.

The Glyne Gap Faculty is the provision for 16 to 19 year students from Glyne Gap School and provides education for students with severe and profound learning difficulties. It is based at the Bexhill College where the students are able to interact with those in mainstream education and share the facilities. The aim of the Faculty is to prepare the students to be independent, autonomous and self-determining in their lives once schooling is over.

If you would like to know more about Rotary please contact the Senlac Rotary Secretary, John Relfe, on 01424 272012.
