The annual Rotary Club of Senlac St Leonards “On Yer Bike” cycle challenge took place in
glorious weather on Sunday 26 th April 2026. The weather brought out over 160 riders who
took part in one of the set circular rides of 25, 40 or 75 miles starting from the Stade in
Hastings and wound their ways through the East Sussex country. Organiser Eric Garland
from the Rotary Club was delighted with the day, “The weather really helped the day and a
lot of riders actually registered on the day. We could not have put on the ride without the
riders, the help of our partners, Hastings Winkle Club, the marshals from various
organisations and those who helped at the Stade, We are also very grateful to our sponsors
for their kind contributions. The proceeds aren’t known yet but will be shared amongst the
Winkle Club, St Michael’s Hospice, Hastings Lifeboat and other good causes. I hope that the
riders who supported us today will do so again next year”
Next year’s cycle challenge will take place on Sunday 29 th April 2027. If you would like to
