Mike "Mike The Hike From England" Hall walked the trail in 1996, and has also walked the Appalachian Trail twice.

The "Walking Committee" was formed about eight years ago and our first 'real' series of walks took in the Hadrian's Wall path from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway. The walks were so successful that we soon lifted our sights.
