As a result of the disruption, owing largely to poor weather, to our planned series of walks we're undertaking alternative routes on an 'ad hoc' basis. Read on for details of this walk ...

Advance details of the first Sunday of the month walk, on Sunday 3 Feb.

  • Provisional details below.  Final details Thursday 31 Jan.
  • Meet Craster main car park, for 10.30 start.
  • Walk along coast, past Dunstanburgh Castle to Low Newton by the Sea
  • Liquid refreshment at the Ship Inn.
  • Return to Craster, possibly by more direct, slightly more inland path.
  • For those wishing, late lunch at Craster probably at The Jolly Fisherman pub.
  • Friends, families, dogs welcome, though not certain about in the pub - (the dogs that is). Non-walkers also welcome to join us in the pub - approx. timings to be calculated.
  • Easy, essentially flat coastal walk, about 10km (for those members still living in the Middle Ages and net yet metricated, that's 50 furlongs).
  • Based on past experience not much mud. though after the snow and forecast rain mid-week the ground likely to be wet.
