Thu, Aug 16th 2012 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Retired fire officer Peter Weighill from Whitley Bay enjoyed many humorous events during his 30 years experience in the service. He's kindly agreed to share some of these tonight in what is widely reputed to be hilarious and uplifting entertainment.

In 1964 Peter joined Newcastle's Fire Brigade and then progressed through several stations in Gateshead and Washington, becoming a station officer in Whitley Bay in 1980. Such a long period in such a career is bound to spring on the unsuspecting many strange incidents!
