GSOAWC Walk - St Cuthbert's Way - Stage 3: Hethpool-Kirk Yetholm-Morebattle

A short walk along farm roads from Hethpool to Elsdonbum, then a steady climb onto the Border Ridge (have your passport to hand), crossing into Scotland. A steady descent into Halterburn Valley and Kirk Yetholm and then onwards to Morebattle.

(5 - 5.5 HRS) (meet at Morebattle 9.45 for W.OOhrs)

This section is the most strenuous and includes a steep climb up to Wideopen Hill (400m) but offers fabulous views in clear conditions.

Alternative walk along the road between Kirk Yetholm and Morebattle missing the points of interest.
