Monthly Sunday Walk 6 Feb 2011 - Rothbury - Simonside - Rothbury

Sun, Feb 6th 2011 at 12:00 am -

A break from this season's walks along the Weardale Way, to blow out the cobwebs of the Winter season and to prepare us for continuing the WW series.

Monthly Sunday walk - Rothbury from Simonside from Rothbury Circular, clockwise via The Beacon & Great Tosson

EB AF CV PF 2Once the 'Namby-Pambies' had nailed their colours to the mast by again pulling their bed-covers over their heads, the intrepid 'Ruffty-Tuffty" members comprised of Chris, Ed, Anne, Pam and Greg, representing the Rotary Club of Tyneside Grand Superior Overarching Walking Group, met at 1030 hrs and stepped out strongly from Rothbury.

Grand Superior Overarching Walking Committee

back The "Walking Committee" was formed about eight years ago and our first 'real' series of walks took in the Hadrian's Wall path from Wallsend to Bowness-on-Solway. The walks were so successful that we soon lifted our sights.
