"Hi all!

Unfortunately where we are at the moment I have no internet access so sending this on my phone.

We have just been to a village in the deep forest with tigers and wild elephants although we didn't see any. We went with the rotary group and a local Doctor to help immunise children from polio! It was the most amazing activity ever! I even got to immunise a 15 day old baby girl. Alan has the photos but will hopefully send you some photos in the next few days. I am over the moon and can't believe I have been a part of it all.

"Hi Kelvin.

Well what a truly magnificent time we are being given over here!!

I could live to be 1000 and never experience all the things we are being shown and experiencing. Not only are we sampling their culture and way of life we are actively part of it.

We have been up the mountains to see the elephants and see the annual Pongal festival which is held annually to thank the gods for a good harvest. Not only did we see it but we were asked to participate in it by carrying all the bits and pieces necessary for the ceremonies.

We have had so many fascinating trips I could give a talk for hours on end.

It is truly magnificent what Dr. Bala and his superb team have done for us and we have been given memories that will last for us till the day we die.

We move on tomorrow but if our next hosts are half as good as our first we will be looked after superbly.

Look after yourself.

Alan"

"Hi All!

Yet another fantastic day in India. We've been to two Jain Temples and a Sikh Temple and taught all about the gods, how they are protected and all the ways they are worshipped.

We also went to the movies and watched a three hours long Hindi movie.

I am being taken out tonight for a meal by my hosts then tomorrow I am going to see the Pongaal Festival in Vettaikaranpudur in Pollachi.

We are staying overnight there and then heading to the Elephant sanctuary on Sunday so as you can see we don't get a minute to breathe, but it's just brilliant! We are having such a good time. I can't believe that it is already nearly a week we have been here! Where does the time fly?

I will not be able to keep in contact for the next few days as we are going in to the jungle!

Hope you are all well.

Speak soon.

Morag"

"Hi all.

Sorry I haven't been in touch but I get no time as we are just out and about so much with lots of things to see and do. We met the police commissioner today in his house which is an old British colonial one. We chatted and were given a book which he has written.

He showed us around and then we were rushed at with flashing lights and cameras! The press! Unbelievable! We were interviewed and photographed and can you believe? We made the front page of the evening news! We are off soon to an Indian night so need to start getting ready.

The first presentation was last night. It was well received and the man who came to England (the dancer) was there and danced for us! Alan has had a lot of feedback from people, constructive criticism but I don't know what it is yet as we haven't had time to talk about it.

I have to go so if I get another chance to use email soon I will update you again.

Take care,

...and then they went out to praise & acclamation...

"As can be seen by these photos we are all having the most amazing time in India and all we seem to do is eat! The hospitality is beyond belief and we cannot believe the way we are being treated by our Rotarian hosts."

"Good Morning to you from India.

So far the trip is going brilliantly! When we met at the airport they held up a banner with our photos on and gave us all a bunch of roses! They were lovely.

We were taken back to the hotel and given an Indian welcome. It was lovely to get a chance to talk and meet our hosts. I met Shanay who is 8 and I will be staying with him and his family this week. He wants to teach me how to play cricket! Oh Joy!

We had a walk around last night and ended up eating on the roof of the hotel.
