Stanley Interactors spring Into Action

After months of hard work, the Stanley High School Interact Club has officially been launched during an exciting Charter Night held by Southport Meols Rotary at the Hesketh Golf Club.

Interact gives students ages 12-18 the chance to make a real diference while having fun.

Every Interact club carries out two service projects a year: one that helps their school or community and one that promotes international understanding. Clubs meet at least twice a month and are sponsored by their local Rotary club, in this case Southport Meols Rotary.

Involvement in Interact is extremely rewarding for members and can mean that they connect with community leaders, develop leadership skills, make international connections and discover event more opportunities to connect with Rotary including Rotaract, RYLA and Youth Exchange.

Moore, and teacher Jen Donnelly and has successfully introduced 11 members already, with a potential to grow even more. The small club has jumped right in and has already been involved in a number of fundraising events so they’re off to a fantastic start and epitomise the Rotary ethos of #PeopleofAction.

During the Charter evening members of the Rotary Club, Stanley Interact and friends and family enjoyed a delicious meal and surprise exploding baked goods, thanks to local baker Chris Latham whose company ‘Latham's’ this year celebrates its 50th anniversary. Southport

Meols Rotary Club President, Ged Whittle officially installed Year 9 pupil, Georgia Bancroft as Stanley Interact Club’s first President, adorning her with the ceremonial regalia.

Georgia’s Mum Tina Bancroft was delighted and remarked that Georgia was unlikely to take it
