Two Paul Harris Fellowship Awards Presented

Rotarians Gary Newton and Mark Cooper have each received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship award.

On Monday evening, our first meeting at Coulsdon Manor in 18 months, Club President George Paulson presented the prestigious Rotary Foundation Paul Harris Fellowship award to two of our members, to reflect their outstanding service to our Club, the local community and the wider Rotary movement.

Gary Newton has just completed a unique back-to-back two-year Presidency, holding our Club together brilliantly during Covid times. Previously Gary has headed Club Comittees and activities with great leadership, commitment and enthusiasm, not to mention his famed sense of humour.

Mark Cooper, a past President, with a second term due in 2023-24, has been at the heart of Club community events for over 15 years, in addition to his local voluntary roles of Quizmaster, crooner and “voice on the PA”.

A 50-strong gathering, with wives partners and Rotary friends in attendance, it was a highly enjoyable evening, excellently hosted Covid-safely by the staff at Coulsdon Manor.
