Although collectors in the first week of December experienced some wet weather culminating in the atrocious wet and windy weather on Friday 5th December, the weather was otherwise generally dry and pleasant. No collections were postponed due to the weather.
This year, as before, we have had help from many volunteer collectors for which we are extremely grateful, and we thank them all most sincerely for their helpful participation. We are also indebted to the volunteers who drove the Sleigh, lead the collections or wore the red cloak and white beard. In all the volunteers occupied 90% of the collecting slots including those during Saturday morning in Broad Street. We look forward to working with them all again in 2026. Several have already indicated their desire to help next December.
We are stunned at the generosity of the people of Seaford yet again, such that the house to house and Broad Street static collections have raised £15,178 for the Seaford Rotary Charitable Trust - this is more than the previous highest in 2023 and included two evenings when the sum collected exceeded £1,000. This total includes donations made through the Seaford Rotary Just Giving Page.
All the money raised will be used for supporting both local and international charities.
All at Seaford Rotary once again thank everyone who gave most generously, whether it be with their time to help with the collections, or their donations for this joyous event.
