We are proud to support and encourage young people in our local community through a range of initiatives that promote learning, leadership, and community engagement.
This year, we are excited to be launching our new Junior Community Awards, which will recognise local young people who go above and beyond to help others, show initiative, or make a positive difference in their school or neighbourhood.
We are also committed to supporting literacy and education in local schools. Our members regularly take part in reading sessions at Trinity School, helping pupils to build confidence and a lifelong love of reading. In addition, we provide Dictionaries for Life to Year 8 students, giving them a practical and lasting resource to support their learning.
Through the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), we help young people develop essential life skills, including teamwork, communication, and resilience — preparing them to be active, engaged citizens.
At Leatherhead Rotary, we believe in giving young people the encouragement and opportunities they deserve. By working together across generations, we can help inspire the next generation to achieve their full potential.
If you know a young person who would benefit from our programmes — or who deserves recognition for the great work they’re already doing — please get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
