Rotary Ramblers enjoy evening walk
On Wednesday 28th August 2019, around two dozen members, partners and friends of Leatherhead Rotary Club took part in the club’s now traditional annual Summer evening walk.
On Wednesday 28th August 2019, around two dozen members, partners and friends of Leatherhead Rotary Club took part in the club’s now traditional annual Summer evening walk.
Starting outside St Mary and St Nicholas Church in Leatherhead, the intrepid group of ramblers enjoyed an hour’s cross-country walk through Givons Grove to the King William IV pub at Mickleham, where they enjoyed a well-earned drink and hearty pub supper.
Club member, Heather Hunt, who organised this year’s walk, said she was very pleased with the turnout, adding, “It was a completely new route this year, but everyone seemed to enjoy it, so I’m sure we’ll be doing it again sometime.”
