Leatherhead Rotary Club Show They Have A Heart
On 3rd July 2024 Leatherhead Rotary presented to the British Heart Foundation the culmination of two years fundraising of £30,934.
On Wednesday 3rd July 2024, around thirty members, partners and friends of Leatherhead Rotary Club attended the club's weekly meeting at the Police Federation Headquarters in Leatherhead to see a presentation to the British Heart Foundation. Total funds raised of £30,934. This was the culmination of two years fundraising during the presidency of Gary Zabel (22/23) and Andrew Emmett (23/24).
This fantastic figure includes £12000, raised via clothing and Bric-a brac collection and value of goods sold in BHF's Kingston Store. The remaining funds were raised through a wide variety of events throughout the preceding twelve months, including the club’s annual Golf Day and 10k Run, together witth a Big Band Concert at Leatherhead Theatre, featuring the British Philharmonic Big Band, led by trombonist Andy Crompton, a close personal friend of Mr Zabel.
