Handover Dinner Upminster Golf Club

On Friday 28th. June we had our annual Handover Dinner at the Upminster Golf Club. The occasion was well attended as, apart from our own members and 'Friends' ,the incoming President had invited along several members of the Dagenham Rotary Club where his Rotary career began. We had a slightly earlier start this year and due to a carefully selected menu the chef and staff were able to serve all the members much faster this year.

The food as always was delicious and well cooked and the whole evening went very smoothly. Outgoing President Gerry Harrington made his final official presentations to Rotarian of the Year David Fell and Dennis Bragg received a Bert Evans BGR (Bloody Good Rotarian)award before he successfully hung the Presidents Chain of Office around the neck of our New President Ray Needham and then the special Paul Harris award to fellow Club Rotarian and assistant District Governor Norman Ellenby for exceptional  Rotary services during the year.

Many thanks go to Gerry for his successful year 2012/2013 and we wish Ray and his new team of officers a happy and successful 2013/2014
