Dear all
Just a few notes from this evening, apologies if there are omissions or errors, they are only notes.
1) John Wade handed the Presidential Chain of Office to Andy Fern, John thanked all who assisted him this year. He also announced his standing down as Manager of the Cliff Hotel forthwith.
2) Andy inducted Colin Hance as Pres. Elect.
3) John Wade gave a resume' of the RPE at Wooden Fender.
4) Tony Burrows gave a report on the Suffolk Fleet sailing trip for the disabled. 47/46 young people had a great couple of days, not only sailing but being entertained by the RNLI and a water display by our local tugs. Tony thanked the club for the work done in providing funding.
5) The Club card should be available next week once Treasurer situation is resolved.
6) Sea Festival, Kath gave colleagues an update on Tombola, a plea for more Tombola prizes please, Neil to send sep. email ( done ). "Harry" and family are to do Catch the Rat, Malcolm asked Neil to provide remaining posters for Rotarians, only 3 left!
7) 7 day notice to be sent to members re nomination of Alan Thomas as proposed new treasurer( done). Colin has offered to assist Alan, it is noticed that PP Ian Wood is already deputy Treasurer.
8) next meeting is a Speaker Meeting, David Whittle, local historian talking about the Sea side!
9) Apologies for absence to Denis for next week in Neil's absence!
10) Denis will send everyone his new email address, do not use his bt email address, it is defunked.
11) The Container Roof has been repaired, has a 10 year guarantee!
12) ROVs on list are Rtns Rutson, Scott and Thomas.
13) Dictionaries are all now delivered to schools in readiness for presentation to students.
14) Neil to post on letter from Lesley Sulley re Air Ambulance and her husband being President of Colchester Centurion Club.
15) Denis pointed out that on a recent flier from a Harwich Group, that they had inadvertently given the wrong date for the Sea Festival! Denis is on the case!
