The Rotary Club of Troon has, for many years now, excelled in the "Youth and Vocational” field.
Rotarian John Crerar, as Chair and his team continued this line with "Challenge Enterprise" a Rotary, District 1320, 3-day course held in Larbert.
To expose, explore, and spur imagination on the whole subject of business and private enterprise, and to develop delegates' understanding of business opportunities.
This year, sponsored by Troon Rotary, 16-year-old Oscar, studying 5 Highers at Marr College, was the candidate put forward.
On Tuesday, 9th December, Oscar was our guest speaker, and following dinner, he presented his views on the time spent there.
The vote of thanks was given by Fiona Bain.
The course provides young people with a broad view of professional, business and management careers. The programme presents business and management as challenging positions offering enormous personal satisfaction while allowing them to exercise maximum creativity, and sets challenges which will help develop their confidence and business knowledge. It inspires them to create their future goals.
