Rotary is an organization of business and professional people united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.”

Weekly Meetings

We meet each week on Thursday at 5.30pm for 6.00pm at the Cathkin Braes Golf Club Rutherglen. Visiting Rotarians and potential new members will be made welcome.

Our meetings begin with a 2 course meal and an opportunity to enjoy conversation and fellowship. After the meal and after some brief business we invite any guest speaker to address the members and guests. (With the exception of the first meeting in each month at which business is discussed)

We have an interesting and varied speaker programme as will be seen from our calendar. Topics cover everything from local community or professional groups to international charities, or individuals with an interesting story to tell. They always give us something to think about!.

Meetings normally conclude around 7.30pm.

About Rotary and our local Activities

What is Rotary?

"Rotary is an organization of business and professional people united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.”

We run various fund raising activities such as quiz and race nights, can collections, and in recent years, a highly successful Antiques Roadshow and Plant Fayre. Both have proved very popular and enjoyable which can be seen in the coverage by local press and media our activities are regularly publicised.
