New Honorary Member
On 1st July, in his first official duty, President Richard had much pleasure in welcoming our newest Honorary Member, Geoff Cartwright, and presenting Geoff with a certificate of membership. Members joined in extending warmest congratulations to Geoff.
Geoff joined Rotary in 2002, became president in 2003 and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship in 2014.
Representing Rotary at COP28
Past President Tariq Durrani represented Lomond Rotary and all of Rotary in the south of Scotland at the COP28 Conference held in Dubai in December 2024. Tariq spoke to the conference on the subject of land use, conservation projects and the work carried out by Rotary Clubs in South Scotland, including rewilding, woodlands and peatlands.
