The Rotakids at Symington Primary start their ‘We Want to be Proud of You, Please Pick up your Dog Poo’ Campaign.
Symington Rotakids launch their Community Project across the village by locating their ‘Poo Bag Dispensers’ around the village. An ingenious design by Rotakid Evie Kerr recycles plastic bottles by putting them to environmentally intelligent use by filling them with poo bags and placing them strategically across Symington.
In addition, the pupils gave out a leaflet they designed, highlighting the facts and hazards associated with the dog waste and encouraging positive behaviours and community respect. The project not only responds to concerns expressed by pupils in the school but also offers a solution and information.
This is the 3rd year of the Rotary Award-Winning Symington Rotakids. This year’s group of 12 hard-working pupils have made great contributions again to the school, the community and internationally.
