Prestwick Rotary School Quiz 2019
Five primary schools competed this year, comprising Kingcase, Symington, Glenburn, Heathfield and Monkton schools. The contest was held in the library at Prestwick Academy. Many thanks go to librarian Haley Milne and her very willing team of Prestwick Academy pupils who prepared excellent questions.
A picture of the team is shown here with Haley at the right hand side of the group. Rotarian Mike Kelly was quizmaster ably assisted by Prestwick Academy pupils Dan and Zara. Rotary President Edith Sterrick introduced the quiz and thanked all those involved. The contest was hard fought with 6 rounds of 10 questions in each round. Markers were Andy Mathieson, Nigel Lawrie, Richie Cameron and Edith Sterrick.
It was very competitive event but Kingcase were decisive and worthy winners with 80% of questions answered correctly which is a great achievement. Your team were 4.5 points ahead of the next team.
Winners were Kingcase Primary, and
this team will progress to the District final later this year. It was an
excellent event and great fun for all involved.
