Passport Club

Definition of a Passport Club

What is a Passport Club?

A Rotary Passport Club is a type of Rotary club that encourages members to be flexible in their involvement, allowing them to visit and participate in activities with other Rotary clubs. This "passport" to other clubs gives members more choice in how and where they engage with Rotary

Flexibility:

Passport clubs are designed for members who may have busy schedules, those who travel frequently, or those who want to experience different aspects of Rotary. They offer more flexibility in meeting commitments.

Service and Collaboration:

Members can participate in service projects and activities with other clubs, fostering collaboration and expanding their reach.

Meeting Variety:

Passport clubs can have meetings that focus on service and fellowship rather than traditional speakers and meals.

Engaged Membership:

They cater to diverse populations, including youth, alumni, and those who find traditional Rotary clubs don't align with their lifestyles.

Geographic Flexibility:

While Passport Clubs may have online meetings, they often have face-to-face meetings within a defined region to allow for connections and collaboration.

Full Rotary Recognition:

Passport clubs are fully recognized by Rotary and adhere to the same principles and constitution as other clubs.

In essence, a Passport Club provides a flexible and adaptable way for individuals to engage with Rotary, allowing them to choose how and when they contribute to service projects and community activities.
