Stevenston Christmas Lights Committee
receive Hunterston Rotary’s
last Community Award of 2024
At the most recent meeting of Hunterston Rotary, Craig Mochan, Chairman of the Christmas Lights committee accompanied by councillor John Sweeney, received the club’s final Community Award of 2024. Stevenston is the last of the Three Towns to receive an award to assist with the provision of Christmas lights following the withdrawal of funding from North Ayrshire Council.
The members of Hunterston Rotary are delighted to have presented awards to a variety of causes this year, over and above the Christmas lighting awards, including; West Kilbride Yuletide Fund; Headrigg Garden Veg Boxes; Primary Schools Netball Team; the Caledonian Piping Club; C.L.A.S.P.; 3TFM Community Radio for Health and the Ayrshire Music Festival.
Following that meeting, the club members agreed that they will be offering six awards of £200 from January to June, 2025.
Details of the scheme, the rules and application forms, can be found on the Hunterston Rotary Website:
